From Koh Kong city center, it is approximately 70 to 80 km away, a journey of 3 to 4 hours depending on road conditions. For air travelers, the nearest hub is Dara Sakor International Airport (approx. 150 km) or Phnom Penh International Airport (approx. 250 km). Exploring this site requires meticulous planning; it is recommended to stay in Koh Kong city for a night and depart early the next morning. A local guide—often a local fisherman and boat owner—is essential to lead the 2-hour trek and provide the boat ride necessary to reach the campsite. Visitors must bring all essential supplies, including food, water, tents, and medical kits, as the area is remote and home to wildlife like foxes or wild dogs, requiring high vigilance and group travel.
